The San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation’s Mrs.
Doubtfire Lookalike Contest is open to all guys and gals who can put on a wig
and strut their stuff with a duster, mop or broom. Appropriate aprons and eyeware are also encouraged.
Theater Foundation judges will select the Mrs. Doubtfire
Lookalike winner with help from the Washington Square audience. Criteria for the contest are simple as the
winner will be selected based on which participant looks the most like Mrs.
Doubtfire.
Anyone interested in participating in the Mrs. Doubtfire
Lookalike Contest can pre-register by emailing your name to afelder@sfntf.org by Thursday, June 1st. You can also register in person between
7 PM and 7:45 PM on June 3rd at the SFNTF tent in Washington Square
Park.
The San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation’s first
ever Four Legged Fashion Show is open to all well-mannered dogs and their human
guardians. All canines must be
on-leash.
The Dolores Park audience will select the “Best Dressed Dog”
and Theater Foundation judges will select our “Best In Show” winners. Contestants will be judged based on the
following criteria:
1. How Well You Walk
– Fashion show style is largely defined by how well one walks the
runway. We advise all canines and
their guardians practice strutting their stuff before the show.
2. What You Wear – It’s not about who you are,
but about what you wear. You and
your canine had better look good if you have any hopes of “Best in Show”
honors.
3. Overall Style – Maybe you walk well or look
good, but can you look good while walking well? Winning “Best in Show” will require that canines
and their guardians coordinate their actions and outfits to create a compelling
overall style.
Anyone interested in participating in the Four Legged
Fashion show can pre-register by emailing your name and your dog’s name to afelder@sfntf.org by Thursday, August 24th. You may also be able to register on the
day of the event, but we are likely to limit the number of participants to
approximately 25. Details about event
day registration to follow.
Please be advised that only well-mannered dogs that are not
frightened by crowds should participate in this event. Please also note that all dogs must be
on-leash at all times and the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation
will not be responsible for the actions or behavior of any participating
pets. By agreeing to participate
in the event, all participants accept full and sole responsibility for the
actions of their pets.
